MANILA -- AirAsia on Monday advised its passengers to manage their flight bookings ahead of system enhancements scheduled this weekend.

The budget carrier will upgrade its Navitaire New Skies reservation system from Feb.16, 2 p.m., until 3.a.m. of February 17.

"This (system upgrade) will apply to the whole AirAsia Group. The upgrade will just be for the reservation system," AirAsia Philippines Communications executive Aileen Regina Dreyfus told the Philippine News Agency (PNA).

During system enhancement, flight bookings as well as self check-in through web, mobile app and airport kiosks, will be unavailable.

Bookings in sales offices, counters and call centers will also be unavailable in the said period.

Passengers are advised to check-in online ahead of the system upgrade, and print their E-boarding pass. The web and mobile check-in are available 14 days prior to departure.

AirAsia has announced the same kind of system upgrade last January. However, Dreyfus said the announcement was called off and the new schedule was set for this weekend. (PNA)
