MANILA — The Alaska Aces shut Barangay Ginebra down with a 104-78 blast in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) Philippine Cup at the Ynares Center in Antipolo City on Sunday night.

Two nights after getting blown out by the Phoenix Fuel Masters, the Aces scored their own rout on the Barangay, who never led the entire game.

Alaska limited Ginebra to just 34 points in the first half en route to an 18-point lead at halftime.

The Barangay tried to bounce back by scoring 29 points in the third quarter, but the Aces held them anew to just 15 in the final frame to complete the blowout.

Simon Enciso made 23 points, four rebounds, five assists, and one steal, while Chris Banchero added 20 points, six rebounds, eight assists, and one steal for Alaska, which moved up to third place at 3-2.0

Japeth Aguilar put up 17 points, 11 rebounds, one assist, two blocks, and three steals, while Greg Slaughter had his own double-double of 15 markers and 14 boards with one dime for Ginebra, which fell to sixth place at 3-3. (PNA)
