MANILA — Superbad finally scored a win in the 7's Football League in Matchday 5 at the McKinley Hill Stadium in Taguig on Sunday night.

After four tough defeats in succession, Superbad barged into the win column with a 4-1 drubbing of Stallion Laguna.

Superbad drew first blood in the match and never looked back, sending Laguna, which scored its first win last week, back to earth.

"It was a big relief to finally get our first win of the season. It was the first that we went ahead in our game in the league this season. Scoring first gave us a confidence boost for the remaining games," said Playing Coach Iggy Halili.

Meanwhile, defending champions Super Eagles stayed unbeaten with a 5-0 rout of Ceres Negros.

Led by Emmanuel Slyvernus' brace, Super Eagles are now 5-0 in the table.

But Coach Danny Kross downplayed his club's anticipated hot start.

"It’s not the important thing for us," said Kross.

On the other hand, fellow finalist Ghana needed extra time to edge H&J All Stars, 3-2.

Needing to tweak its game plan late in the match, Ghana bounced back from a goal down early on to steal the win on a go-ahead strike in the additional five-minute session.

In the other matches, Laro mauled Matu Deportivo, 4-1, Real Amigos subdued Tondo, 1-0, and Futbol Fanatics beat Bohemian, 5-4. (PNA)
