MANILA — Davao Occidental Tigers bounced back from a tough Game 1 defeat and beat San Juan Knights, 67-60, in Game 2 of the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League Finals at the Rizal Memorial Colleges Gym in Davao City on Saturday.

The Tigers took control of most of the game, even opening a 15-point lead, 53-38, late in the third quarter, before holding off the Knights, which had a blistering run early into the final quarter, in the end thanks to clutch triples from Joseph Terso and Billy Robles.

Robles finished with 17 points, eight rebounds, three assists, one steal, and one block for the Tigers, which tied its best-of-five series against San Juan at 1-all, sending it down to a virtual best-of-three ahead of the change of venue at the FilOil Flying V Centre in San Juan City for Game 3 on Tuesday night.

Mark Yee added a double-double of 16 points and 10 rebounds with five assists, four steals, and one block.
