Bornea, Plania confident of early wins in GenSan title bouts

DAVAO CITY -- Bantamweight prospect, Jade Bornea, and super bantamweight sensation, Mike "Magic" Plania, are both confident of early wins at the Robinsons Place in General Santos City on April 30. 

Bornea (13W-0L, 9KO) is headlining the event by trading mitts with Jonathan Francisco in a 10-round battle.

Plania (19W-1L-0D, 9KO) is the co-main event against veteran Nicong Calamba in an eight-round affair.

The Gensan bout will also see other boxers in the full undercard -- Vince Paras vs. Reymark Taday (10 Rounds Flyweight); Jhunrile Castino vs. Paolo Perono (6 Rounds Bantamweight); Garren Diagas vs. Ryan Makiputin (8 Rounds Minimumweight); Carjun Carcosia vs. Celso Sardido (6 Rounds Featherweight); James Bacon vs. Jovany Rota (6 Rounds Welterweight);

Rogelio Doliguez vs. Ryan Bongcawel (6 Rounds Lightweight); Regie Mananquil vs. Junrex Saldivia (4 Rounds Minimumweight); Tonton Saludar vs. Renjie Diagan (4 Rounds Minimumweight); Criz Russu Laurente vs. Ramie Gaabon (6 Rounds Super Flyweight); Criztian Pitt Laurente vs. Rey John Indita (6 Rounds Lightweight); and Guillaume Lorenzo vs. Ronel Petras (4 Rounds Lightweight).

The event is organized by the country’s premier boxing promotions, Sanman Boxing Promotions, headed by its CEO, Jim Claude Manangquil. Admission is free. (PNA)
