ZAMBOANGA CITY -- The city government said it will relocate some 100 families whose houses would be affected by the opening of road projects, an official said Wednesday.

Rodrigo Pagotaisidro, City Housing and Land Management officer, said the families will be either relocated to the Azcuna Resettlement site in Barangay Mercedes or in Barangay Tulungatung.

Pagotaisidro said the houses of the affected families from the barangays of Sta. Catalina, Sta. Maria, and Tetuan will be demolished next month to pave way for the opening of new roads.

Meanwhile, the official said they are also drafting the local shelter plan for the relocation of illegal settlers in the city. (PNA)
