Bilibid visits to resume Oct. 30

MANILA -- The Bureau of Corrections (Bucor) on Tuesday said visitation for inmates incarcerated at the maximum-security compound of the New Bilibid Prison will resume Wednesday.

"No visitation allowed during Mondays and Tuesdays. To accommodate all the visitors at Maximum Security Compound, schedule of visit for PDL (persons deprived of liberty) at Maximum shall be on a per quadrant," BuCor spokesperson, lawyer Wena Dalagan said in an advisory sent to reporters.

The schedules for visits are as follows.

NBP North (Quadrant 1) -- Wednesday and Saturday
Building 1 -- 7:30 a.m. - 9 a.m.
Building 6 -- 8:30 a.m. - 10 a.m.
Building 12 -- 9:30 a.m. - 11 a.m.
Hospital Ward 1, 3, 5 and Annex -- 9 a.m. - 10 a.m.

NBP West (Quadrant 2) -- Thursday and Sunday
Building 4 -- 7:30 a.m. - 9 a.m.
Building 7 -- 8:30 a.m. - 10 a.m.
Building 11B -- 9:00 a.m. - 11 a.m.
Hospital Ward 2, 4 and TBTU – 9 a.m. - 10 a.m.

NBP South (Quadrant 3) -- Wednesday and Saturday
Building 3 -- 10:30 a.m. - 12 noon
Building 8 -- 11:30 a.m. -1 p.m.
Building 13 -- 12:30 p.m. - 2 p.m.

NBP East (Quadrant 4) -- Thursday and Sunday
Building 2 -- 10:30 a.m. - 12 noon
Building 5 -- 11:30 a.m. -1 p.m.
Building 9 -- 12:30 p.m. - 2 p.m.

Visitors will be subjected to the usual body frisking, strip-searching if necessary and inspection of all bags and belongings prior to entry to any corrections facilities, Dalagan said. (PNA)
