DAVAO CITY -- Orthodox boxer Eduardo "The Nightmare" Mancito of Jose Abad Santos, Davao del Sur will fight undefeated Jianhao Diao of China on February 2 at the Mission Hill Haikou in Haikou, China.
The 27-year-old Mancito (18W-10L-2D, 9KO) won both his fights last year.
His first win was a technical decision against Jeson Berwela of Camarines Sur in round 5 on Aug. 3 last year in Mandaluyong City. Then he won by unanimous decision over Michael Escobia of Bohol last Oct. 6 in Bacoor, Cavite.
Diao, on the other hand, has two straight wins with no loss or draw.
The 28-year-old Diao TKO'd Rivo Rengkung of Indonesia in the 4th round last Aug. 31 in Qingdao, China.
He also TKO'd former MinProBA featherweight champion Jaime Barcelona of Bukidnon in the second on Oct. 27 last year in China.
The boxing promoters are Bob Arum of Top Rank and Li Sheng of SECA Ltd. (PNA)
