MANILA — Kaya Iloilo struggled in offense but still did enough to split the points with 10-man PSM Makassar with a 1-1 draw in the AFC Cup at the Pakansari Stadium in Bogor, Indonesia on Tuesday.

Eric Giganto scored the equalizer to deny PSM Makassar, which played with one less player for most of the match, the home win.

PSM Makassar suffered an early blow in the 10th minute when Dedi Gusmawan was handed a red card for a hard foul, sending him out of the match.

However, Kaya Iloilo could not capitalize on the power play and PSM Makassar even struck first in the 22nd minute through an Osas Saha goal.

Giganto finally found the net with a 50th-minute goal that eventually forced the draw.

Kaya Iloilo momentarily held the top spot in Group H with the draw that kept the club unbeaten after the first round with five points.

However, Tampines Rovers scored a 2-1 win at home against Shan later in the day that pulled the club to the top of the group with seven points. (PNA)
