MANILA – It will be a wet Saturday in southern Mindanao due to the presence of the inter-tropical convergence zone (ITCZ) while the easterlies will affect the rest of the country.

In its 4 a.m. bulletin, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said Soccsksargen, BARMM, Davao region, and the Zamboanga Peninsula will experience cloudy skies with rain showers and thunderstorms brought by the ITCZ.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers caused by the easterlies or localized thunderstorms, PAGASA said.

The ridge of a high-pressure area is extending over northern Luzon, bringing with it light to moderate winds headed southwest, resulting in slight to moderate coastal waters of up to 1.2 meters.

The rest of Luzon will have light to moderate winds headed southeast to south, resulting in slight to moderate coastal waters of up to 1.2 meters.

The Visayas and Mindanao will also have light to moderate winds headed east to southeast, causing slight to moderate coastal waters of up to 1.2 meters.

Meanwhile, temperatures in Metro Manila will range from 26°C to 35°C; Tagaytay City, 23°C to 32°C; Metro Cebu, 26°C to 34°C; Metro Davao, at 26°C to 33°C; and Zamboanga City, at 25°C to 33°C. (PNA)
