LEGAZPI CITY – A total of 269,362 non-Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) beneficiaries in Bicol are set to receive their second tranche of the Social Amelioration Program (SAP) cash aid, according to the Department of Social Welfare and Development regional office.

Marygizelle Mesa, DSWD-Bicol spokesperson, in a phone interview on Tuesday, said their office is just waiting for the fund to be downloaded.

“For Bicol region, Albay province has been approved by the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases to receive the second wave of the government's financial assistance,” she said.

Mesa said that aside from the 168,760 beneficiaries in Albay, a total of 100,602 other households are waitlisted in different provinces in the region for the second tranche of SAP distribution.

Those in the waitlist, Mesa said, “are the families that are not included in the first tranche but are eligible” for the assistance.

Aside from the non-4Ps beneficiaries, Mesa added that there are 77,370 4Ps families that are included in the release of the second tranche of the amelioration aid.

DSWD-Bicol also encouraged all SAP beneficiaries to use the ReliefAgad registration procedure in their website for their Social Amelioration Card information.

“It will also facilitate the enrollment of their transaction accounts in order to receive aid via digital payment,” Mesa said.

She said beneficiaries who will register in the ReliefAgad website can receive the aid through different money transfer and digital platforms.

“By using ReliefAgad, beneficiaries can receive directly their cash assistance to their account, making the distribution later (after DSWD completes the validation and deduplication) faster, more efficient and safer,” Mesa added. (PNA)
