MANILA – Stallion Laguna has just begun making its transfer moves for the upcoming Philippines Football League (PFL) season.

The club on Sunday secured the signing of midfielder Finn McDaniel.

"I am extremely blessed to announce that I have signed my first professional contract with Stallion Laguna FC," McDaniel said in a statement on Instagram.

The 20-year-old was part of the Philippine team that played in last year's Southeast Asian (SEA) Games.

The under-22 Azkals made headlines by beating Malaysia in the SEA Games play for the first time in 28 years.

McDaniel also joined the U22 Azkals squad who competed as a guest team in last year's Copa Paulino Alcantara.

The U22 Azkals used the cup as part of their buildup for the SEA Games.

Stallion Laguna president and head coach Ernie Nierras was part of the U22 Azkals' coaching staff.

McDaniel played for US NCAA Division 1 school California Baptist University before deciding to turn pro. (PNA)
