DAVAO CITY – Former World Boxing Organization (WBO) minimumweight champion Victorio “Vicious” Saludar of Polomolok, South Cotabato, will fight undefeated Robert “Inggo” Paradero of Malaybalay City on Dec. 5 at the Flash Ballroom of the Elorde Sports Center in Sucat, Parañaque City.

The 29-year-old Saludar (20W-4L-0D, 11KO) knocked out Mike Kinaadman of Iligan City in the sixth round to win the vacant Asian Boxing Federation (ABF) minimumweight title December last year in Naga City.

In his third title defense for the WBO world title, Saludar lost to Wilfredo Mendez of Puerto Rico by a unanimous decision in Puerto Rico on Aug. 24.

Paradero (18W-0L, 12KO), on the other hand, stopped Jonathan Almacen of Muntinlupa in the first round on April 5 in Malaybalay.

In 2018, the 24-year-old Paradero defeated Royder Lloyd Borbon of Cotabato by a unanimous decision to win the WBO Asia Pacific Youth minimumweight title in Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon.

“The Saludar versus Paradero 12-round title fight will be a closed-door event,” said promoter Gabriel “Bebot” Elorde of Elorde International Productions. (PNA)
