MANILA – The low-pressure area (LPA) spotted 20 km. northeast of Romblon will bring scattered rain showers over most parts of the country, the weather bureau said Wednesday.

In its 4 a.m. bulletin, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said scattered to widespread rains and thunderstorms will prevail over the provinces of Cagayan, Isabela, Aurora, Quezon, Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, and Catanduanes, while the rest of Luzon will experience scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the LPA and the tail-end of a frontal system.

The LPA will cause scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over central and eastern Visayas, Northern Mindanao, and the Caraga regions.

The rest of the country will have isolated rain showers caused by localized thunderstorms.

PAGASA forecast moderate to strong winds and moderate to rough seas over Luzon.

Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate with slight to moderate seas, it said. (PNA)
