COTABATO CITY – Police and anti-narcotics agents arrested a 38-year-old village councilman in North Cotabato and seized from him sachets of suspected shabu Monday night.

Moises Seniel III, a resident and councilman of Barangay Malayan, M’lang did not resist arrest when lawmen presented him a warrant of arrest for illegal drug pushing.

“Two medium-size sachets of suspected shabu were seized from him along with a .45 caliber pistol with ammunition," Kath Abad, PDEA-12 spokesperson, said in a report.

Police officers backed by agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA)-North Cotabato and soldiers from the 602nd Infantry Brigade swooped down Seniel's house that caught him flat-footed.

The suspected shabu items seized from Seniel have a street value of PHP70,000, Abad added.

The suspect is now detained at the PDEA lock-up cell in Kidapawan City. (PNA)
