MANILA – The A4 (economic front-liners and uniformed personnel) priority group in Manila can get the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) vaccines beginning Tuesday.

In a Facebook post late Monday, Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso said A4 vaccination will initially start in four malls with 750 doses each.

Sa kauna-unahang pagkakataon, isasagawa na po natin sa lungsod ang first dose vaccination para sa A4 priority group sa apat na mall sites (For the first time, we will do the first dose vaccination for the A4 priority groups in four malls), namely Lucky Chinatown Mall, SM Manila, SM San Lazaro, and Robinsons Place Manila,” the post read.

Earlier, Domagoso said the city is ready to roll out Covid-19 vaccines for the A4 group, the biggest so far after medical front-liners, senior citizens, and adults with comorbidities.

He said it is important to vaccinate essential workers from both the government and private sectors because they are the economic drivers.

Vaccinating the workers would mean restoring the trust of the general public to go out again, knowing that the workers they will encounter are vaccinated and protected from Covid-19, Domagoso said in previous interviews. (PNA)
