BACOLOD CITY – Anti-drug operatives of Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) arrested four suspects and seized almost PHP177,000 worth of suspected shabu in two buy-busts, according to the police reports on Sunday.
Police Station 8 operatives led by Maj. Joery Puerto apprehended two men at around 8 p.m. on Saturday after they sold PHP500 of shabu to a poseur-buyer in Florenciville Subdivision, Barangay Pahanocoy.
The suspects were identified as Carel John Rula, 42, a resident of the area, and his companion Rodel Remegio, 24, of Barangay 18 in this city.
Operatives recovered seven sachets containing 20 grams of shabu worth PHP136,000, along with two coin purses, a disposable lighter, and an improvised tooter from the suspects.
On Friday, two suspects were arrested by personnel of Police Station 6 in Purok Pilipinhon, Barangay 30 during the operation at around 1 a.m.
They were identified as Fritz Erespe, 45, and Maricon Elpos, 50, both residents of Barangay 30.
The suspects sold a sachet of shabu worth PHP500 to an undercover policeman, and yielded 10 small sachets containing about six grams of the same prohibited substance valued at PHP40,800.
Operatives also recovered an improvised tooter, two disposable lighters, a sling bag, a candy canister, a coin purse, and PHP510 cash. (PNA)
