MANILA – A total of 369 Unified Force Multipliers in Parañaque City have completed the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) Patrolling and Response Operations Training to Empower CVOs and Tanod (P.R.O.T.E.C.T) held at the Don Bosco Covered Court in Barangay Don Bosco.
In a statement on Sunday, NCRPO chief Maj. Gen. Felipe Natividad said the training aims to boost the capabilities and confidence of barangay force multipliers and other participants in the performance of their peacekeeping functions.
He said part of the event was a demonstration of yantok (rattan stick) and different handcuffing techniques performed by the Unified Force Multipliers.
Natividad said he appreciated the support of the local government units in NCRPO's endeavor to intensify its fight against all forms of criminality, illegal drugs and terrorism.
"Ang isang paalala ko lamang po sa inyo, yung mga natutunan ninyo ay gamitin ninyo sa tama sapagkat kailangan po nating magkaroon ng magandang samahan in ensuring peace and order (I just want to remind you, use what you have learned correctly because we need to have a good organization in ensuring peace and order)," Natividad said during the graduation ceremony last Friday that was also attended by Parañaque City Mayor Edwin Olivarez, Southern Police District (SPD) director Brig. Gen. Jimili Macaraeg and other top officials of NCRPO.
For his part, Olivarez said the training will boost their efforts in maintaining peace and order in the city.
“Sa buong Metro Manila, sa buong Pilipinas, kulang po ang ating kapulisan, we have not enough number of police patrol that will patrol every barangay in the whole Republic of the Philippines. Kung titingnan po natin ang ating policemen ay nahihirapan to maintain the peace and order in the city of Parañaque (In the whole Metro Manila, in the whole Philippines, we lack policemen, we have not enough police patrols that will patrol every barangay in the whole Republic of the Philippines. If we look at our policeman, it is difficult to maintain peace and order in the City of Parañaque),” the mayor said. (PNA)
