MANILA – Three most wanted persons (MWP) were arrested in separate operations on Thursday, the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) said Friday.

In a statement, NCRPO Chief, Maj. Gen. Felipe Natividad, identified the suspects as Lovellio Liday, 32; Vicente Martonia, 47; and Reynaldo Llamanzares, 50.

Liday, the number two most wanted person of the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) Station 13, was arrested in a manhunt operation on Sto. Niño Street in Barangay Payatas, Quezon City at about 4:30 p.m.

The suspect has a standing arrest warrant for rape issued by the Ilagan City, Isabela Regional Trial Court Branch 18 with no bail recommended.

At about 5 p.m., a joint operation by the QCPD Station 13 resulted in the arrest of Martonia in Barangay Cabuyao Sur, Padre Burgos, Quezon province.

Martonia, the QCPD Station 13's third most wanted person, has a warrant of arrest for murder by a Quezon City court.

On the same day, Llamanzares, the number two most wanted person of the Eastern Police District, was arrested by members of the Marikina police along Delos Santos Ave., Barangay Silangan, San Mateo, Rizal.

Llamazares has a pending warrant of arrest for two counts of rape issued by a Marikina court.

Natividad said all suspects were brought to the respective operating units' offices for proper documentation before returning to the court of origin.

"Our police will continue to launch operations against the most wanted persons like them. You can count on us to do everything we can to catch these criminals and make them pay for their crimes," Natividad said. (PNA)
