LAOAG CITY – The Ilocos Norte Youth Development Office (INYDO) announced Wednesday that it is now accepting entries for the annual search of the Ilocos Norte Top Accomplished Youth and Organizations (INTAYON).
Weenter Ventura, executive director of the INYDO, said the six categories this year include individual, secondary youth organization, tertiary youth organization, community youth organization, Sangguniang Kabataan Council, and youth development officer.
“Two new categories were added this year to recognize also our outstanding youth (SK) councils as well as youth development officers in the province,” said Ventura. The program will highlight the awardees' contribution to the Ilocano community by inspiring others to innovate for the benefit of the public.
Under the six categories, the INYDO said applicants should have recently finished a program or an ongoing program or project from October 2021 to September 2022 covering any of the following areas—governance, education and technology, health, well-being and human development, environment, disaster risk reduction and climate change adaptation, livelihood and entrepreneurship, culture, arts and heritage or any other areas that are considered beneficial to the community.
Ventura said organizations and individuals who made it to the finals, except for the winner/s in previous years, may apply again this year provided they have new accomplishments.
Previously submitted programs or project entries to the screening committee are no longer allowed.

The deadline for submission of entries is set on Nov. 14.
Five winners will be selected from each of the individual and organization categories.
Cash prizes ranging from PHP5,000 to PHP20,000 await winners with trophies to be awarded by the provincial government. (PNA)
