MANILA – To celebrate its 30th founding anniversary, the Muntinlupa City Judo Club will hold the Munting Judoka Cup 2022 on Nov. 12-13 at the Muntinlupa Sports Complex in Tunasan, Muntinlupa City.
Tournament director Maya de Castro said there are eight weight categories in the Open and White Belt divisions. In the juniors division, the number of categories are based on the age bracket.
The weight categories in the juniors division are boys' 7 years old and under (-25kg and +25kg), boys' 8-9 years old (-25kg, -35kg and +35kg), boys' 10-12 years old (-42kg, -46kg and +46kg), boys' 13-15 years old (-55kg, -73kg and +73kg), girls' 7 years old and under (-27kg and +27kg), girls' 8-9 years old (-22kg, -29kg and +29kg), girls' 10-12 years old (-32kg, -36kg and +36kg), and girls' 13-15 years old (-45kg, -57kg and -57kg).
In the Open and White Belt divisions, the categories are men's -55kg, -60kg, -66kg, -73kg, -81kg, -90kg, -100kg, +100kg and women's -45kg, -48kg, -52kg, -57kg, -63kg, -70kg, -78kg and +78kg.
The Munting Judo Cup 22 is sanctioned by the Pinoy Judo Association, Inc. (PJA) and supported by the Kurash Sports Federation Philippines, Inc. and various judo clubs in the country.
