MANILA – Parts of Mindanao and Visayas as well as some areas in southern Luzon will experience cloudy skies with scattered rains due to trough of a low pressure area (LPA) and shear line, the weather bureau said Sunday.

In its 4 a.m. weather bulletin, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) warned the public in Northern Mindanao, Caraga and Davao Region of possible flash floods or landslides due to trough of LPA spotted outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility.

On the other hand, the shear line will bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Bicol Region, Quezon, Marinduque and Romblon.

Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administration Region and Aurora will have cloudy skies with rains due to northeast monsoon or amihan.

Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will experience partly cloudy to at times cloudy skies with light rains due to northeast monsoon while the rest of the country will have isolated rains or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms.

Northern Luzon as well as the rest of Luzon, Visayas and the eastern section of Mindanao will experience moderate to strong winds heading northeast with moderate to rough seas.

The temperate ranges between 23.1 °C and 29.2 °C. (PNA)
