MANILA – Overcast skies and some rains will prevail in most parts of the country this Black Saturday, brought by the northeasterly surface wind flow (NSW) and the trough of a low-pressure area (LPA).

In its 4 a.m. weather bulletin, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said the NSW would affect Extreme Northern Luzon. Cloudy skies with rains will be experienced in Batanes, Cagayan, Isabela, and Apayao.

Meanwhile, cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms will prevail in Eastern Visayas, Sorsogon, Masbate, Surigao del Norte, and Dinagat Islands due to the trough of an LPA.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the trough of an LPA and localized thunderstorms.

Winds in Luzon will be moderate to strong and headed northeast, resulting in moderate to rough seas.

The Visayas and Mindanao will experience light to moderate winds headed northeast to northwest, with slight to moderate seas.

The temperature in Metro Manila will range from 25°C to 34°C; Laoag City, 24°C to 31°C; Baguio City, 16°C to 24°C; Legazpi City, 24°C to 32°C; Metro Cebu, 25°C to 30°C; and Metro Davao, 24°C to 34°C. (PNA)
