MANILA – Operatives of the Philippine National Police - Civil Security Group (CSG) arrested two persons involved in the illegal manufacture of fake License to Own and Possess Firearms (LTOPF) and license cards for security guards in an entrapment operation in Manila.

In a press briefing in Camp Crame on Thursday, CSG director Brig. Gen Benjamin Silo Jr. presented suspects Vicky Genabe, 38 and Isidro Pagaduan, 37 who were arrested Tuesday in Sta. Cruz, Manila based on the intelligence report received by CSG about the illegal activities of the suspects.

The suspects allegedly charged their clients PHP1,500 per license, which they could obtain in just two hours.

Silo said the operatives also seized a computer set with a printer, two printed copies of fake PNP Supervisory Office for Security and Investigation Agencies or PNP-Supervisory Office for Security and Investigation Agencies (SOSIA) identification cards, three pieces of assorted fake IDs, and a marked PHP500 bill during the operation.

The CSG chief ordered the conduct of the entrapment operation amid complaints regarding the proliferation of fake LTOPF and other gun papers as well as security guard licenses which are being sold to interested buyers in Metro Manila and other parts of the country.

He added the suspects will be charged with violation of Article 172 of the Revised Penal Code known as falsification by private individuals and use of falsified documents.

The CSG is the PNP's office in charge of administrative and operational control in the regulation of firearms, explosives and private security industries. (PNA)
