MANILA – A bettor from Nueva Ecija who bagged the PHP366-million jackpot of the June 30 Ultra Lotto 6/58 draw claimed his prize recently at the main office of the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) in Mandaluyong City.

In a statement on Wednesday, the PCSO said the winner claimed his prize on July 6 and brought his ticket with a winning combination of 43-58-37-47-27-17.

The 40-year-old winner said he purchased his ticket at one of the lotto outlets in Cabiao, Nueva Ecija.

The winner said he spent PHP100, which is equivalent to five tickets, where he selected four sets of his desired numbers while entrusting the fifth to the lucky pick, a system-generated selection.

He said he wants to use a portion of his prize money to help those in need.

I still don't know how to handle this much money. But of course, first of all, we will help others, we will share because I know the Lord has a plan why we are blessed like this. Let's not lose hope. There are times when we regret that we didn't hit, but we should always think that with every bet we make, we are helping others),” he said.

Meanwhile, a lucky bettor from Cubao, Quezon City who won the Super Lotto 6/49 drawn on June 15, which carried a jackpot prize of PHP15,840,000 also claimed her prize last June 20 at the PCSO Main Office in Shaw Boulevard, Mandaluyong.

The 35-year-old winner has diligently played PCSO Lotto games for over 11 years.

Her winning ticket, with combination 19-03-45-22-42-32, was revealed to be a Lucky Pick (LP) or a system-generated selection.

"Sobrang saya ko habang nakikita ko na isa-isang binabanggit ng host sa live draw yung mga kumbinasyon na nasa ticket ko. Napakaswerte ko po dahil naranasan ko itong pangyayaring nababasa at nababalitaan ko lang noon. Maraming salamat po, PCSO (I was very happy when I saw that the host in the live draw mentioned the combinations on my ticket one by one. I was very lucky because I experienced this event that I had only read and heard about before. Thank you very much, PCSO),” he said.

The winner shared that she plans to allocate a portion of her winnings to different investments, including insurance and expansion of her business.

She also called on the public to continue patronizing PCSO games and services, which fund the government’s various charitable programs for indigent Filipinos.

Sa public po, patuloy sana nating suportahan ang mga adhikain nila na makatulong sa kapwa sa pamamagitan ng pagtangkilik natin sa lotto at iba pa nilang palaro (To the public, we hope that you continue supporting their aspirations to help others by enjoying the lottery and their other games),” she said.

The PCSO guarantees the safety and security of all winners by keeping all their personal information confidential.

Lotto results and other details of the PCSO games, products, and services can be viewed on the PCSO Official Website, PCSO FB Page and PCSO GOV Channel on YouTube.

To avoid forfeiture of winnings, winners have one year from the date of the draw to claim the prize, as specified in Republic Act 1169.

All lotto jackpot prizes must be claimed at the PCSO main office along Shaw Boulevard in Mandaluyong City.

To claim prizes, winners must write their names and sign at the back of the winning ticket, and present two government-issued IDs.

The public is also reminded that prizes over PHP10,000 are subject to a 20 percent tax as provided in the Tax Reform for Acceleration and Inclusion law.

The PCSO is urging the public to patronize its games to generate more funds for health programs, medical assistance and services, and charities. (PNA)
