Isolated rain showers across PH due to easterlies

MANILA - Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to easterlies and localized thunderstorms.

The entire archipelago will have light to moderate winds and slight to moderate seas, based on the weather report released by the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration at 4 a.m. on Sunday.

Meanwhile, at least 40 areas are forecast to experience high-level heat index ranging from 42°C to 48°C.

According to the weather bureau’s two-day forecast released at 5 p.m. Saturday, these areas are:

Under heat index danger level, heat cramps and heat exhaustion are likely, and heat stroke is probable with continued exposure, according to PAGASA.
