AirAsia PH cancels Aug. 3, 4 flights to Taipei due to Khanun

MANILA – AirAsia Philippines on Wednesday afternoon announced the cancellation of its flights to and from Taipei, Taiwan scheduled from August 3-4, 2023 due to the forecast track of Typhoon Khanun.
 
The flights that are scheduled for Thursday but have been canceled are: 
 
* Z2 7148 Cebu-Taipei
* Z2 7149 Taipei-Cebu
* Z2 128 Manila-Taipei
 
Flight Z2 129 Taipei-Manila scheduled on Friday is also canceled. 
 
"The safety and well-being of our guests will always come first. To minimize inconvenience among guests, we opted to cancel the flights based on the projected track of Typhoon Khanun," the airline said in an advisory.
 
Affected passengers have been informed via text and email, it said. 
 
AirAsia said those whose flights have been canceled or have over three hours delay may rebook their flight to a new date before September 3, on the same route. Fare difference will apply.
 
They could also opt for a full refund or retain the value of the flight booking in their loyalty membership account, AirAsia added.  (PNA)
