MANILA – Caraga and Davao Region will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the trough of a low pressure area (LPA), the weather bureau said Wednesday.

Flash floods or landslides may occur in these areas due to moderate to at times heavy rains, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said in its 4 a.m. bulletin.

Meanwhile, the rest of Mindanao will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the easterlies and localized thunderstorms, PAGASA said.

On the other hand, the northeast monsoon or “amihan” will bring cloudy skies with light rains over Cagayan Valley and Aurora, as well as partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains over Metro Manila, the rest of Luzon and the whole Visayas.

Moderate to strong winds and moderate to rough coastal waters will be felt over Luzon, Visayas and the eastern sections of Mindanao, while the rest of Mindanao will experience light to moderate winds and slight to moderate seas.

The temperature in Metro Manila will range from 22°C to 32°C; Baguio City, 14°C to 24°C; Laoag City, 21°C to 33°C; Legazpi City, 24°C to 30°C; Metro Cebu, 25°C to 31°C; Puerto Princesa City, 25°C to 32°C; and Metro Davao, 24°C to 30°C. (PNA)
