MANILA – President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. said her mother, former First Lady Imelda R. Marcos, is continuously getting well and is scheduled to leave the hospital on Thursday.

The President said although her mother is feeling better and the fever has fully subsided, her attending physicians decided to keep her in the hospital until she finishes her prescribed course of antibiotics.

“Pagaling na nang pagaling (She’s getting better)… she’s scheduled to come out on, I think, Thursday,” Marcos said Wednesday.

“Pabawas na talaga ‘yung lagnat niya, by now wala na (Her fever continues to subside. By now it should be gone),” he added.

The 94-year-old former First Lady has been admitted to a hospital due to suspected pneumonia.

The President is looking forward to seeing his mother back on her feet and out of the hospital, adding that she is already excited to return to her usual routine.

“Alam niyo naman ‘yung mother ko. Pinakamahirap para sa kanya ‘yung walang ginagawa (You know my mother. She finds it hard to do nothing)... So, as I said, that’s a good sign,” the President said. (PNA)
