CALAMBA CITY, Laguna – Lawmen in this province are taking no vacations in their fight against crime as demonstrated by the arrest on Tuesday of a wanted kidnap suspect.

Col. Gauvin Unos, acting director of the Laguna Police Provincial Office (LPPO), on Wednesday told reporters that the suspect, identified only as “Michael,” was listed as Calabarzon’s second most wanted person until his capture.

Police operatives, armed with an arrest warrant issued by Regional Trial Court Branch 170, caught the suspect in his lair in Barangay San Vicente in San Pedro City, the police chief said.

No bail was recommended for the suspect who is currently detained at the San Pedro City Police Station custodial facility.

"With the diligent and persistent work of our police force, our police operations are becoming successful and we will continue them as long as there are still people hiding from the law to give justice to their victims,” Unos said. (PNA)
