MANILA -- The Bureau of Treasury (BTr) only partially awarded the 10-year Treasury bonds (T-bonds) after the government debt security fetched higher yield on Tuesday’s auction.

The auction committee only accepted PHP4.1 billion of the total PHP13.3 billion bids.

The re-issued T-bonds was offered at PHP10 billion.

“Accepted bids were cut at 6.375 percent, fetching a higher average of 6.350 percent compared to the previous average of 6.213 percent,” the BTr said.

The auctioned debt security has a remaining life of 9 years and 10 months, since it was initially issued on March 22 this year.

The BTr said total outstanding volume for the series already amounted to PHP22.1 billion. (PNA)
