All seven senior high school graduates, who will fly to China on the first week of September, received full five-year scholarship grants to pursue their college education at the Beijing Institute of Technology, Beijing Foreign Studies University, and Beijing Technology and Business University.

Before entering college, they will attend preparatory courses for a year to learn the Chinese language and culture at the Beijing Language and Culture University, Tianjin University, and University of International Business and Economy.

Benitez met the scholars with their parents during the awarding rites in Victorias City on Saturday.

“Make your parents and community proud. Give your best and make the most of this great opportunity,” he said.

Benitez will also provide assistance for their transportation expenses, allowance, and clothing for winter.

Once admitted to the three universities, the scholars will avail of free tuition, free dormitory accommodation, monthly stipend, and comprehensive medical insurance. (PNA)
