SAN JOSE DE BUENAVISTA, Antique -- Four Negosyo Centers (NCs) are set to open next month for a total of 15 centers established in Antique.

Glen Fernando, Trade and Industry Development Specialist, in an interview on Thursday, said the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Antique provincial office is doing its best to have an NC in all the 18 municipalities of the province by October.

“This coming September 19, the Negosyo Centers will open in Anini-y and Belison,” Fernando said.

The NCs will be opened in Barbaza and Bugasong towns on September 26.

“The remaining towns of Laua-an, San Remigio and Tobias Fornier will have their NCs opened in October,” Fernando said.

In a previous interview with Wilson Alian of the DTI Antique, he said through the direction of their provincial director Mercedes Young, they are rushing to be the first province in Western Visayas to have established NCs in all of its municipalities.

NCs are provided for under Republic Act No. 10644 to assist entrepreneurs, especially the startups, to be able to register their businesses right in their own municipalities, thus minimizing their processing expenses.

Entrepreneurs are also provided access to trainings for business conceptualization and feasibility, financing, management, capability building, human resources, and marketing.

The first NC in Antique was established at the DTI provincial office here last April 29, 2016 and has already assisted many businessmen in the province. (PNA)
