Poe's pa-in-law hurt as vehicle falls from parking lot

MANILA -- Senator Grace Poe’s father-in-law was rushed to hospital after sustaining injury when his car fell from an elevated parking space at a shopping mall in San Juan City on Sunday.

Based on police report, the victim was identified as Teodoro Paraiso Llamanzares, 83, resident of Greenhills, San Juan City.

The incident happened around 9:45 a.m. at Parking 4, Promenade, Greenhills, San Juan City when Llamanzares, who was driving a black Toyota Innova, fell from the third level of the parking lot.

According to some security and parking attendants, who witnessed the incident, the victim’s vehicle continuously accelerated towards the barriers of the parking and fell off the ground.

Llamanzares was the sole passenger of the vehicle when the incident happened.

Members of the San Juan Police Community Precinct and management of the mall quickly responded to the accident.

He was rushed to Cardinal Santos Medical Center for immediate medical treatment. No other casualty/victim was reported. (PNA)
