PCOO Osec Media gets state-of-the-art equipment

MANILA — The Office of the Secretary Media (OSEC Media) under the Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO) received top-of-the-line sets of equipment in a turnover ceremony led by Communications Secretary Martin Andanar on Thursday.

OSEC Media received 5 mirrorless cameras, 5 all-in-one computers, 15 camera lenses, 2 microphones, 2 recorders, 2 tripods, 1 drone, 1 gimbal, and SD cards and extra batteries for the cameras.

These state-of-the-art tools were purchased through the assistance of Chinese Ambassador Zhao Jianhua.

OSEC Media is a division under Andanar which is responsible for strategic communications, multimedia development, and digital mileage of the different campaigns for the Executive Branch.

OSEC Media was created three years ago when Andanar took the reins of PCOO.

Ever since, it has handled a multitude of projects involving communication of government messages, projects, and programs.

“The primary objective of OSEC Media is to be able to deliver quality content – content that has never been delivered or has not been delivered consistently in network companies,” Andanar said during the turn-over ceremony.

He noted that OSEC Media has been growing and, as a result, the demand for the organization’s service from the executive branch has significantly increased.

Given this, Andanar said he saw the need to provide OSEC Media the best tools and equipment so that they can achieve beyond measure.

Dir. Vinci Beltran, head of OSEC Media, expressed her gratitude to the communication chief for the donation.

“We appreciate the donation of the People’s Republic of China and your generosity for giving these to us, to our Office, because I know that these people in the OSEC Media will be more inspired, they will be more ready to take on the challenges of communicating the good news, the truth, and the achievements of this government to the people,” she said.
