MANILA — Light rains will be experienced in some parts of the country on Friday due to the trough of a low-pressure area (LPA) affecting Mindanao and the tail-end of a cold front affecting northern Luzon.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said the Davao region and Soccsksargen will have cloudy skies, with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms caused by the trough of an LPA.

Batanes and the Babuyan Group of Islands will have cloudy skies with light rains due to the northeast monsoon.

The Cordillera region, the rest of Cagayan Valley, Aurora, Quezon, Central Luzon, Metro Manila, and the rest of Mindanao will have cloudy skies with rain showers, and isolated thunderstorms due to the tail-end of a cold front.

Temperature in Metro Manila will range from 35 degrees to 31 degrees Celsius; Tuguegarao City, 21-30 degrees Celsius; Baguio City, 14-23 degrees Celsius; Metro Cebu, 23-31 degrees Celsius; and Metro Davao, 24-31 degrees Celsius. (PNA)
