Bong Go climbs to 3rd to 5th place in Pulse Asia poll

MANILA -- Former Special Assistant to the President Christopher Lawrence "Bong" Go climbed to rank 3 to 5 in the latest Pulse Asia survey released Monday.

Go, who initially ranked 6th to 12th in January, has obviously racked up from his campaign for the Senate race over the previous weeks.

With 53 percent, the administration bet is tied with Senator Juan Edgardo Angara, who earned 52.2 percent for the 3rd to 5th places.

Pulse Asia's survey, conducted between February 24-28, showed that Go is on a definite upward trajectory - less than three months before the May 13 elections.With only two months left before the elections, Senator Grace Poe remains at the top of the leaderboard based on her overall voter preference of 67.5 percent.

Senator Cynthia Villar’s reelection bid, meanwhile, has the support of 61 percent of registered voters giving her the solo spot for second place.

Completing the top half of the list are Taguig City Rep. Pia Cayetano with 47 percent, who is now in the 5th to 7th places; and former Bureau of Corrections Chief Ronald dela Rosa, who found himself in 5th to 8th places with 44.6 percent.

Endorsed by Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio, nine candidates of the Hugpong ng Pagbabago made it to the 1st to 15th spots.

On the other hand, from 8th to 12th spot, only former interior chief Mar Roxas from the opposition Otso Diretso made it to the range.

The rest are independent candidates or candidates from other political parties. (PNA)
