MANILA -- San Miguel forced a 1-all tie in the PBA Philippine Cup Finals with a 108-101 win against Magnolia in Game 2 of the best-of-seven series at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City on Friday night.

The Beermen turned the tides in the middle two quarters, holding the Hotshots to just 19 points in the second quarter before scoring 32 of their own in the third to turn the game into a rout.

Magnolia had a little-bit-too-late run, in the end, to cut the lead to a respectable one.

Alex Cabagnot and Junemar Fajardo each scored 16 points for SMB.

Ian Sangalang came up with 18 markers, one rebound, one assist, two blocks, and one steal for Magnolia.

Jio Jalalon added a near triple-double of 15 points, eight boards, and eight dimes, while Paul Lee came up with a double-double of 10 points and 10 caroms with six dimes and one steal. (PNA)
