MANILA -- Pasig got an early boot in the FIBA 3x3 Kunshan Challenger after the pool stages on Saturday night.

Pasig fell prey to its fellow Pool A squads Sosnovy Bor of Russia and Liman of Serbia, despite getting a good start in both games.

Already facing elimination following its loss to Liman earlier Saturday, Sosnovy Bor found itself in danger as Pasig was in cruise for the first seven-and-a-half minutes of their game.

However, the Russian side took advantage of Pasig's foul troubles and drilled in crucial two-pointers inside the last two minutes to help steal the 21-19 win.

Pasig looked to redeem the shock defeat by starting its game against Liman on a strong note, taking an early 3-0 lead.

But Liman made sure that there will be no repeat of its huge upset loss to Pasig in the Doha Masters by completing a momentum shift en route to the 22-12 knockout.

Liman and Sosnovy Bor will qualify for the quarterfinals on Sunday. (PNA)
