Alaska blasts Columbian via Q3 whipping

MANILA – The Alaska Aces turned on the jets in the third quarter to pummel the Columbian Dyip, 111-98, for its first win in the Philippine Basketball Association Commissioner's Cup at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City on Sunday night.

The Aces outscored the Dyip, 34-13, in the third frame to pull away for good.

Chris Daniels made 25 points on 11-of-16 shooting, 16 rebounds, two assists, one block, and one steal for Alaska.

Chris Banchero added 20 points and two rebounds off the bench.

Kyle Barone made 30 markers, 22 rebounds, one assist, one block, and one steal for Columbian. (PNA)
