GenSan super featherweight to fight Hungarian boxer in Miami

DAVAO CITY – Super featherweight Mark Bernaldez of General Santos City will fight David Berna of Hungary in a non-title bout at the Miccosukee Indian Gaming Resort in Miami, Florida, USA on May 24.

The 25-year-old Bernaldez (18W-2L-0D, 12KO) beat Mexican German Meraz by a unanimous decision in a Miami bout last March 22.

Bernaldez, however, lost to Kye MacKenzie in a vacant World Boxing Organization (WBO) Asia Pacific lightweight title in Northbridge, Australia on Oct. 5, 2018.

The 28-year old Bernaldez (17W-7L-0D, 16KO) defeated Roland Ajtai in Hungary on Oct. 13, 2018. He lost to Jose Gonzalez by knockout in New York last March 8. (PNA)
