BUTUAN CITY – Agusan del Norte Governor Dale B. Corvera has ordered a revised working scheme in the provincial government, citing the recent increase in coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) infections among Capitol employees.

“The revised work scheme shall be implemented to carry out the necessary interventions to contain the spread of the virus,” he said on Friday.

Corvera has ordered the temporary closure of the Capitol until October 28 to allow disinfection, intensified contact tracing, the isolation of confirmed cases, and quarantine of close contacts.

He, however, said measures to contain the spread of the virus should not hinder the provincial government’s services to its constituents.

“A combination of work-from-home and skeletal workforce arrangement shall be implemented by all offices at the provincial government,” Corvera said.

All employees assigned as part of the skeletal workforce will render services at the Capitol’s covered court until October 28, while those who will be home-based are expected to perform their assigned work and functions, he said.

Data from the Department of Health 13 (Caraga) indicate that as of October 14, Agusan del Norte has 56 active cases, 134 recoveries, and six deaths.

Butuan City, where the Provincial Capitol is situated, has 280 active cases, 729 recoveries, and 43 deaths. (PNA)
