DAVAO CITY - Anti-narcotics agents have arrested Davao Oriental’s second top drug personality, together with two others, in a buy-bust operation in Mati City of the province on Wednesday.

In a statement released Thursday, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency in the Davao Region (PDEA-11) identified the principal suspect as Gian Alexis Flores, 31, of Nazareno Street, Barangay Central, Mati City.

The PDEA agents, backed by provincial and Mati City police personnel, also dismantled a drug den and arrested its alleged maintainer identified as Kristoffer Aliezon alias Openg, 41, of the same barangay.

Flores and Aliezon were collared by PDEA agents after completing the drug transaction with a poseur buyer.

A drug den visitor, identified as Norwin Liguez, was also arrested after being caught in the act of using shabu.

Seized from Flores and Aliezon was a small packet of suspected shabu worth PHP1,000 and the buy-bust money.

A further search on the suspects yielded 11 other plastic sachets of shabu in different sizes weighing more or less 11 grams with a street value of PHP165,000.

Charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 are readied against the suspects. (PNA)
