Over 1.4M Caraganons fully vaxxed

BUTUAN CITY – A total of 1,482,251 Caraga residents have received full doses of coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) vaccines as of Sunday night, the regional health office reported.

“The number of fully vaccinated individuals represents 65.93 percent of the target population for Covid-19 vaccination in Caraga Region,” the Department of Health – Caraga (DOH -13) said Monday.

Also on Sunday, the agency said 3,482,809 Covid-19 vaccines have been administered in the region.

At least 148,461 individuals in the area have received their booster shots of the vaccines, the agency added.

Nine new Covid-19 cases were recorded on Sunday, bringing the total cumulative cases in the region to 58,704, it also reported.

Of the nine new cases, three were listed in Butuan City, another three in Agusan del Sur, two in Surigao City, and one in Surigao del Sur.

The total Covid-19 recoveries in the region stood at 56,494 as of Monday, with three new recoveries recorded on Sunday.

Five new Covid-19 related deaths were also logged on Sunday, bringing the total number of deaths in the area to 2,140.

As of Monday, the region has a remaining 70 active Covid-19 cases. (PNA)
