MANILA – Cherry Tiggo downed the College of Saint Benilde, 29-27, 27-29, 25-18, 25-23, to notch its first win in the PNVF Champions League at the Rizal Memorial Coliseum on Tuesday.

Mylene Paat finished with 16 points, 13 on attacks, while Abigail Maraño, Victonara Galang, and Czarina Carandang chipped in 12 points each as the Crossovers bounced back from their 26-28, 19-25, 26-27 loss to the Cignal HD Spikers on Sunday.

Ennajie Laure scored all her six points in the fourth set, Maraño made five points while Seth Rodriguez and Ma. Shaya Adorador added four points apiece for Cherry Tiggo, which wrapped the match after two hours and 17 minutes.

Jhasmin Gayl Pascual had 19 points, including 18 on attacks, for the Blazers, who pulled off a 16-25, 25-16, 25-27, 25-14, 15-9 victory over the Philippine Army Lady Troopers on Monday.

Meanwhile, Wednesday's matches will pit Saint Benilde against Cignal HD at 3:30 p.m. and Cherry Tiggo against the Philippine Army at 6 p.m. (PNA)
