Gold extends record rally on Monday

WORLD CAPITALS – Gold prices extended their record rally on Monday as spot gold increased by 0.3 percent, reaching USD2,335.73 per ounce, as of 0646 GMT, after hitting a record high of USD2,353.79 earlier in the session.

According to Reuters, US gold futures gained 0.4 percent to USD2,354.50.

Spot silver was up 1.1 percent at USD27.77 per ounce, platinum edged 0.1 percent higher at USD927.78 and palladium gained 0.2 percent at USD1,001.76. (WAM)
