According to Emirates News Agency (WAM), the UAE witnessed its heaviest rainfall on record in the past 24 hours.

UAE's National Centre of Meteorology confirmed that the record rainfall that fell on the country during the past 24 hours until 9 p.m. on Tuesday is an exceptional event in the country's climate history since the start of recording climate data.

Dubai Airports said that flights continue to be delayed and diverted and passengers are advised to contact their respective airlines for the latest information on flight status. (PNA)
