MANILA – Low-cost carrier Cebu Pacific (CEB) has been providing work immersion opportunities to senior high school students, including those with special abilities, from a partner academy, and is exploring more partnerships for an inclusive workplace.

CEB announced Friday it inked a three-year agreement with learning institution The Vanguard Academy for the work immersion of its students.

"As we pioneer these efforts with Vanguard, we are dedicated to learning from this partnership to refine our approaches and expand our programs," CEB spokesperson Carmina Romero said.

She said CEB is exploring additional partnerships and initiatives to foster an inclusive workplace.

"These collaborations aim to enhance our recruitment strategies and student immersion programs, ensuring they are more inclusive and supportive of diverse needs. We not only strive to attract diverse talent but also in building a stronger, more cohesive company culture that reflects our core values, ultimately making Cebu Pacific truly a great place to work," Romero said.

The initial batch of Vanguard student trainees was assigned to corporate support roles, such as in the Human Resources Department.

CEB ensures these trainees gain relevant professional experience, Romero said.

"As we progress, we'll refine our internal policies and training programs to make the work immersion experience not only inclusive but also conducive to the personal and professional growth of each student," she added. (PNA)
