TUGUEGARAO CITY-- Two farmers’ associations in the municipality of Bambang, Nueva Vizcaya have received funding support for their livelihood undertakings from the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE).

DOLE Nueva Vizcaya field office head Engr. Joseph Sales said Fruits and Vegetable Growers Association (FVGA) of barangay Mabuslo on Saturday received PHP501,625; while the Dullao Fruits and Vegetable Gardeners Association (DFVGA) of barangay Dullao got PHP1.45 million.

The funding support has been taken through DOLE Integrated Livelihood and Emergency Employment Program (DILEEP), one of the government programs meant to augment incomes of workers in the informal sector of the economy.

Meanwhile, Nueva Vizcaya’s Lone District Rep. Luisa Lloren Cuaresma thanked the DOLE in the implementation of the program for her farmer constituents.

Cuaresma committed to facilitate the release of more livelihood funds for the province considering its meager fund allocation to cater to the 15 municipalities of Nueva Vizcaya. (PR)
