MANILA -- Cignal-Ateneo sent McDavid to Philippine Basketball Association D-League infamy with a 106-31 blowout at the JCSGO Gym in Quezon City on Tuesday.

Cignal-Ateneo never gave McDavid an inch from the get-go, limiting them to just five first quarter points and even had a more solid fourth quarter defense with only three points conceded as McDavid's total points set a new all-time low in scoring, "eclipsing" the 41 total points PC Gilmore scored on Jan. 10, 2012.

Ange Kouame and Thirdy Ravena each scored 16 points, to outscore the entire McDavid squad, and put Cignal-Ateneo now at 6-1.

The Blue Eagles' 75-point winning margin is the second largest lopsided result in D-League history, just one point shy of Tanduay's 76-point rout of Zark's on July 10, 2017.

Interestingly enough, it was the same Tanduay franchise, which has since moved to the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League to bankroll the Batangas City squad, that held PC Gilmore to just 41 in that 2012 match.

Marlon Monte made 11 markers for McDavid, which dropped to 1-5.

In the first game, Centro Escolar University zapped Marinerong Pilipino, 93-76, behind a 35-point fourth quarter blast.

Malick Diouf made 22 points, 10 coming in the pivotal final frame, for the Scorpions, which remain unbeaten at 6-0.

Anton Asistio contributed 17 markers, three boards, and two dimes to lead the Skippers, who fell to 3-3. (PNA)
